The purpose built resort of Costa Teguise is Lanzarote´s second most popular resort.
It is situated just north of
Arrecife in the north east of the island, less than 30 minutes transfer
from the airport.
Costa Teguise is a pleasant tranquil resort which has been constructed
in the typical Lanzarote style with low rise whitewashed buildings and
brightly painted window shutters.
The
constant breeze across the main beach makes this the ideal spot for
windsurfing and the white sandy beach is perfect for sunbathing,
reading, relaxing and the occasional swim.
The resort currently has the only 18 hole golf course on Lanzarote and
is the home to the island's only waterpark.
Over all it is a great resort for those wanting a relaxed holiday with
the convenience of a short transfer from the airport, several beaches
close by and a good choice of restaurants and bars. (Costa
Teguise Lanzarote)
Matagorda is a relatively new and modern resort connected to los Pocillos via a promenade.
It is more restrained than its two neighbours, Puerto del Carmen and
Arrecife making it the perfect place to unwind.
The resort is mainly low rise with a long sandy beach and a selection of restaurants, bars and
shops. Transfer time from the airport is less than 30 minutes. (Matagorda

Playa
Blanca was once a
small fishing village located on the most southerly tip of Lanzarote. It
has since developed into Lanzarote's third resort but has retained its
local character and remains a quiet and tranquil spot.
Built
around the small bustling harbour and a small beach, you will find a
good selection of shops, restaurants, whitewashed buildings and a pretty
seafront. Ferries operate between the harbour and the neighbouring
island of Fuerteventura, famous for its sand dunes.
The white sandy beaches of Playa Flamingo and Playa Dorada are connected
by a beautiful sea front promenade which winds its way past the harbour,
shops and restaurants and continues to the most recent development in
Playa Blanca, the Marina Rubicon.
The Marina Rubicon is a
sea front development of upmarket restaurants and designer boutiques.
This ia a beautiful spot to admire the luxury yachts, have a meal, enjoy
the weekly market or take a boat trip to the Papagayo
beaches.
The Papagayo beaches, approximatley three miles from the centre of Playa
Blanca, are accessed either by dirt tracks for which a small entrance
fee is payable or by boat. The beaches have limited public facilites, such as toilets
and refreshments but are considered to be some of the best beaches on
Lanzarote and are a beautiful spot to watch the sunset over Playa
Blanca.
The relaxed atmosphere of Playa Blanca is ideal for those looking for a
peaceful break away. Approximate transfer time of 40 minutes. (Playa
Blanca Lanzarote)
The
compact resort of Playa de los
Pocillos is one of Lanzarote's newer resorts and has a peaceful, more
relaxing atmosphere than nearby Puerto del Carmen making it the perfect
place to unwind during the day. For those wanting more night life, the
lively resort of Puerto del Carmen is only two miles away.
Playa
de los Pocillos has a large dark sandy beach bordered by a promenade
with a small selection of bars and restaurants. Approximate transfer
time from the airport of 30 minutes. (Playa
de los Pocillos Lanzarote)
Puerto
del Carmen is Lanzarote's largest and most popular resort. It is
situated
on the East Coast, stretching along the main coastal road lined with
numerous shops and bars.
The
seafront promenade runs along side the white sandy beach, the largest on
the island, which has an excellent range of activities and watersports.
For those
who prefer a bustling nightlife Puerto del Carmen has a variety of bars,
discos and international restaurants.
The old town of Puerto Del Carmen is a picturesque fishing port and is
home to some great fish restaurants in a nice, relaxed environment.
The
resort is quite hilly in parts. Approximate transfer time from the
airport of 30 minutes. (Puerto
del Carmen Lanzarote)
